Recently SKMM blocked 10 file sharing sites , claiming that these sites are always visited by netizens to download pirated music and movies , locally and international , netizens claim that it was a proposal by KRU popular local band requesting because they have been suffering a lot of losses due to these websites , true it is not easy for a artist to go thru a lot of hardship to produce and release the song , when we destroy all their hard work with just one click 'download' but did they understand we Malaysians dont have a common platform to download these songs in a legal way , and if they do they request payment by credit card , why in the USA people there give support to their artist when their technology knowledge and internet users propotion is higher than Malaysia , because they have a common platform , but what do we have , sometimes we dont want to buy the whole CD , we just wanna buy a single song , but do we have it , nope , and the prices of your song is not affordable to some particular income group , in ITUNES songs are charged 99 cents each , if you say that their currency power is higher , then you also must accept cost of producing a song will be much more expensive than Malaysia , so why dont Malaysian local artist create a platform like Itunes and charge music lovers each Rm 1 , and also enable payment by other methods other than credit card nowadays even a person with annual income of 60 , 000 doesnt not have a credi card because charges and etc , if KRU is syaing that their suffering loses , than what about international production company like Warner Bros , and Paramount whose movies are released one day and the next day the pirated version is released , they dont suffer losses , Malaysian Artist such as KRU should understand that If your product is in good quality , how many duplicates are created also people will buy your product .
